Walk no more than 5 minutes down the beach and you’ll find a great new open-air beach bar to enjoy. But that’s not why it’s one of our favorites. You’ll also find some hidden gems, perfect white sand, and crystal blue waters.
Beach Access Locations
51st Ave W & Gulf Blvd
51st Ave W & Gulf Blvd, St Pete Beach, FL 33706
This hidden access is nestled just a few blocks north of St. Pete Beach’s main public parking lot. The crowds tend to park at the large public lot, but drive just a few blocks down and you will escape the madness! This is open to a nice wide beach, giving you plenty of space and super soft sand. Bongo’s Beach Bar is right behind you, perfect for grabbing a bite to eat or a few quick drinks.
Closest Bars & Restaurants: Bongo’s! You’re also within quick walking distance to Harry’s & Rum Runner’s
Choose This Location If: You’re looking for an area that isn’t over crowded but still has access to fun beach bars! This is our favorite location of them all! It works great for bachelorettes, families, and more!
Parking: There is some street parking on 51st Ave. If those are taken, just a few blocks down you will find the large St. Pete Beach public parking lot. There is also a lot on 50th Ave next to IHop.
Things To Do on St. Pete Beach
Boat Tour with Captain Justin Vitalo
Head out on the water from the Blind Pass Marina with local charter captain, Justin Vitalo. His tours include snorkeling, watching for dolphins, sandbar hopping, and water sports. It’s the perfect addition to your beach day or vacation!
Choose between the 25 Ft Yamaha which seats up to six, or the 34 FT Catamaran that seats up to 30.
St. Pete Elite Carts
Simplify your travel by renting a golf cart for your stay! These street legal luxury golf carts are delivered straight to your vacation spot and picked up at the end of your visit. Explore St. Pete without having to worry about the hassle of a rental car.
Grove Surf + Coffee
The Grove is one of our favorite places to go when we’re not at the beach! This hidden gem doubles as a retail surf shop and coffee bar. With many specialty coffee flavors to choose from the shop allows you to enjoy a cup of coffee while browsing for your beach wear.
Go Beach Bar Hoping
Part of what makes St. Pete Beach unique is the ability to beach bar hop! We suggest starting at the south end at The Undertow, then taking a short beach walk to Bongos. From there we would use the Freebee golf cart app to grab a free golf cart ride down to Coconut Charlie’s at the newly renovated Hilton Garden Inn. From there you short beach walk to Jimmy B’s with plenty of seating and live music. Finish the day at Post Card Inn where there is sure to be a party!
82 Degrees
Whether you are looking for a bite to eat or a fun happy hour, 82 degrees is your place! The restaurant and bar is located at The Saint Hotel with a beautiful view overlooking Gulf of Mexico. With one of the best views in St. Pete, the rooftop bar is a great place to enjoy live music and while watching the sunset.
